Well-behaved dogs are very welcome by prior arrangement but we ask that they are kept off beds and furniture – please bring your best friend’s bed with you. Your dog will love the endless beach and woodland walks, but please keep him leashed while on the farm.

Conservation Walks around Rookery Farm

A number of conservation walks are accessible from Rookery Farm, perfect for exploring the surrounding countryside and walking dogs (on leads please).

These permissive footpaths create a range of circular walks around the villages of West Beckham and Bodham. Enjoy access to arable farmland where a range of options are being implemented to promote wildlife including new hedge and tree planting, establishing grass field margins and creating beetle banks, and providing different plots to benefit seed eating birds and pollinating insects.

For more information download a DEFRA published map or read more at the DEFRA website.

It's even possible to walk to the beach from Rookery Farm following permissive footpaths, through picturesque Sheringham Park and onto the cliffs at Weybourne and Sheringham. Please be warned though, this is not a short walk but great for enthusiastic walkers.

“Many thanks for a really enjoyable stay. We’ve had a great week and particularly appreciated the provisions and the flowers which still give off their scent! Facilities such as a range of saucepans/utensils were very good. Leaflets on local services and amenities were useful. We would definitely come back – the kids are already sad that we are leaving tomorrow!”
