Discover the wide open spaces

The team at Rookery Farm Norfolk is all too aware of the stress and strain people are under at the moment with the day-to-day uncertainty and the ongoing health fears presented by Covid-19 or Corona Virus. One of the biggest sources of unease seems to be a lack of clarity across all aspects of life, with advice from government and the World Health Organisation changing on an almost daily basis.

Keeping up with advice

Here at Rookery Farm Norfolk, as with all our neighbouring local hospitality and tourism businesses, we are responding to advice as it is communicated: the situation is being monitored closely.

In line with all advice, we are still welcoming visitors, it is a case of ‘business as usual’, with our holiday homes very much in use. Rookery Farm Norfolk is the perfect place to stay to get all the benefits of plenty of open spaces and fresh air. Walking in nature has been shown to boost the immune system and walking on the farm’s permissive paths, which are open to holiday guests, is the perfect way to reduce stress and enjoy the wildlife.

Go local

Local restaurant businesses are adapting too. For example Wiveton Hall is adapting its café to a drive-through pizza takeaway outlet and the numerous farm shops and delicatessens are all stocked with fantastic, fresh local produce.

We would also like to reassure our guests that following every stay our cleaning processes are rigorous and thorough. We pride ourselves on the high standards in hygiene and customer care that we offer.

Take advantage of Norfolk’s open spaces

To add to this, Norfolk, as a county remains relatively free of the virus at present – just four confirmed cases. With our large open spaces – beaches, farm tracks, heathlands and forested areas – we are a county that offers a natural form of social distancing; peace and quiet for you to relax in; and beautiful accommodation that provides a sanctuary in these difficult times.

We are also a business, which is why we have set out very clearly our cancellation policies during this time. We are very happy to talk to you should you have concerns about coming to Norfolk for your holiday. We are also very happy to discuss options if you are looking for a last-minute getaway.

The whole country is in an uncertain and worrying state of flux right now. If at all possible, we encourage you to take some time away to walk, talk and reconnect with yourselves in the peace and beauty of our wonderful county.
