Contemporary and traditional collide

The all-singing, all-dancing Thursford Christmas Spectacular is a fabulous way to start the countdown to Christmas. The mesmerising show lasts for more than three hours. It is a combination of music, dance, humour and variety entertainment. On stage, tradition and the 21st century collide. This is an ingenuous mix of contemporary entertainment and traditional music hall shenanigans. This is no fuddy-duddy show aimed at a certain age group, rather it is a vibrant mix that caters for everyone and showcases showbiz talent.

More than 5.7 million visitors have experienced the Thursford Christmas Spectacular to date. And more than 50 coach loads a dat turn up from all over the UK. Many of them make a holiday of the trip. Certainly, here at Rookery Farm Barns we regularly welcome visitors who have built a mini-break around their Thursford experience.

Chart toppers and carols

The Christmas Show is set in the magical surroundings of mechanical organs and fairground carousels. More than 120 singers, dancers and entertainers make up the cast. Most have hot-tailed it directly from London’s West End. It is non-stop, it is fun and it is nostalgic at times. Current chart toppers, year round favourite songs and traditional festive numbers provide the sound track to the show. It really is a feast for all the senses. There is also a surprise appearance as part of the show’s finale.
